Modern Music at the Neapolis Kavala Conservatory enables students of all ages to explore the sounds and styles that defined 20th and 21st century music. Through a dynamic curriculum, students combine technical training with creative expression and live performances.

The Modern Music department teaches:

• Electric guitar – from basic techniques to more complex solos and contemporary styles (rock, blues, metal, pop).
• Electro-acoustic guitar – a combination of acoustic and electric techniques for contemporary and classical pieces.
• Electric bass – rhythm and groove for bands and ensembles.
• Modern piano & harmonium – technique, harmony and expressiveness in contemporary styles.
• Modern singing – vocal technique, stage presence and improvisation.
• Drums – development of rhythmic precision, improvisation and participation in contemporary musical groups.
• Rockschool of London – organized learning programs with international orientation and certifications, combining technique, theory and stage presence.

The courses include individual teaching as well as group projects, so that students gain experience in live performances, collaboration with other instruments and creating bands.

The education covers all levels, from the beginner who wants to learn the first chords, to the advanced student aiming for a professional career in the music industry.
