From the first step to the Music Diploma

The Neapolis Kavala Conservatory offers comprehensive music studies, organized into levels according to the standards of the Ministry of Culture. In this way, each student progresses step by step in their musical journey, from their first steps to obtaining an official degree.

The basic levels are as follows:

• Preliminary Level: The first stage for those who are just beginning their acquaintance with music. The goal is to become familiar with the instrument or voice, develop basic technical skills and cultivate a love for music. Ideal for children and beginners of all ages.
• Lower Level: At this level, students progress to more systematic education. Basic techniques are taught, they are introduced to simple works and they acquire the foundations of music theory. The lower level constitutes the first solid foundation for the following stages.
• Intermediate Level: Here, students develop more comprehensive skills. They study more demanding repertoire, develop their musical expression and deepen their theoretical training. The intermediate level prepares the student for advanced studies.
• Higher Level: This stage is aimed at advanced students who have already completed the previous levels. The aim is to deepen their technique, cultivate a personal style and prepare for participation in diploma exams.
• Degree – Diploma: The highest level of studies at the Neapolis Conservatory. Students are prepared to obtain a Degree or Diploma recognized by the state. At this stage, students have the opportunity to pursue either an academic or professional career in music, as performers, educators or composers.

Comprehensive Education

At all levels, students attend both instrument or voice lessons and theoretical courses (harmony, counterpoint, music history, morphology). At the same time, they participate in choirs, orchestras and concerts, gaining valuable experience on stage.

In this way, the Neapolis Kavala Conservatory ensures a comprehensive, gradual and recognized musical education that covers all the needs of students – from beginner to professional.
