Bouzouki and Greek Traditional Instruments Lessons in Kavala
Traditional and Folk Music is an integral part of our cultural identity and at the Neapolis Kavala Conservatory it holds a special place in the curriculum. Through the lessons, students learn about the rich Greek musical tradition, explore the authentic sound of folk instruments and gain a deeper connection with the roots of our musical heritage.
In the Traditional & Folk Music department, the following are taught:
- Bouzouki – the quintessential instrument of the folk repertoire, with an emphasis on technique, style and interpretation.
- Traditional instruments – such as lute, kanunaki, toumbeleki, violin, clarinet, depending on the repertoire and the needs of the students.
